Irrigation E3 program provides winners with unique experience for the IA’s Education Week+

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Sept. 9, 2020) — Students and faculty are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Irrigation E3 program! In place of the Irrigation Association’s in-person Irrigation Show and Education Week, the IA is hosting Education Week+, which offers expanded virtual education and numerous opportunities for learning and engagement safely and comfortably in your own home.

With a new look in 2020, the virtual program will still provide the winners with exposure, experience and education in the irrigation industry. E3 winners will receive an education award to participate in the virtual Education Week+, which will be hosted Nov. 30-Dec. 4. Winners will have the opportunity to choose from 30 virtual IA University classes to participate in.

During the week of Dec. 7-Dec. 11, E3 winners will also participate in networking sessions and spend time with the 2020 E3 program lead sponsor, The Toro Company.

And, as an added bonus, the winners will be able to attend the IA’s Industry Insights. It is a weekly webinar series running from October 2020 to March 2021 that will showcase the ever-changing and evolving business practices, research and technology in the industry.

Student and faculty applications are due by Oct. 1 with notification of their status by Oct. 30. To learn more about the program requirements and application process for students and educators, visit www.irrigation.org/e3.

For some schools, Education Week+ dates coincide with final exams or the week prior to final exams; however, the E3 program can be adjusted for students in these situations. Contact the workforce development department (workforcedev@irrigation.org, 703.536.7080) with any questions or concerns.

Thank you to this year’s program sponsors. The lead sponsor is The Toro Company. Supporting sponsors are Hunter Industries and the Carolinas Irrigation Association.
